Photography
These photographs were taken whilst I was on some walks around a park. It was raining whilst I was taking the photos so it allowed me to capture more movement and ripples that can be created in the
water.
I took images of flowing rivers and smaller puddles to try and get a variation in my photos. I also tried to capture some of the tree reflections that happen on the surface of the water.
RIPPLES
AND REFLECTIONS
This photo was taken at a high vantage point over a puddle of water so you get a top down view of the reflections and ripples in the water.
There is a lot of contrast in the top left corner with some dark black areas and some light white areas too.
This image is of the river Irwell during a windy, rainy day. The movement captured looks almost like a turbulent stormy sea even though the real movement was quite gentle.
This was taken of the river Irwell and it shows some more powerful movements in the top 2 thirds and in the bottom third its much calmer and more gentle . This makes the photo follow the rule of thirds
This photo was taken at a high vantage point over a puddle and it shows the clear reflections created. Their is a sharp detailed tree reflection and quite a lot of contrast between the background (white) and the trees reflection (black).
